Yup yup. It's worth noting that the features present Jeff has (unhealthier skin, faded hair, big dark circles, that grey eye etc) didn't happen right away, but rather slowly over time.

Thank goodness I'd finished this page already! I was so sick past couple days. My lucky I swear

I have nothing to say. Nice update, though.

Heheh! Thank you!:D

'You were wearing... a cerulean blue shirt?' :P

Aww Jeff. Hey, I'm really curious about how the zombie mechanics work in WA! Will you get around to fully explaining why and how? :O I know it was touched upon when we met Jeff but not fully~!

I wonder where Jess is? >_>

So many questions~!!

Oh, and now Benny-boy has stitches on his left palm, vertically down from the middle finger and stopping a small space above his hoodie cuff. XD Good luck remembering them every time! XDD lol <--knows exactly how that works

(EDIT: Oh and we are also sick buddies >_> *clinks mugs and meds with seabiscuit*)

(HAHAHA That video. I'll never understand people obsessed with fashion!)

Haahhh, well, probably not, hahah. I kinda left it intentionally mysterious in a way, because the people of the WA world aren't sure exactly how it works themselves. What chemicals or radiation one would need to be exposed to, how much, etc, in order to come back when they die is pretty much unknown. Plus there's a bit of a random factor to it as well; two people exposed to the same things, only one might come back. It doesn't help that zombies are -extremely- rare!

Jess...Well, we'll see! ;D
I'm not done with her yet...

HAHAH yes, thank you. Yeah no there's no way I'm gonna have ANY sort of luck remembering them!...I have enough trouble with the friggin' bandages on his head and those are huge!

(Awwww! Let's hire someone to make us some soup!)

I only just now noticed his grey eye. Does that mean he has a little vision impairment? Being a zombie, he's potentially immortal but does his body heal any at all or is he just going to slowly waste away over time?

He probably got all his current wounds by chasing cute, deadly creatures.
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 2:21 AM edit delete reply
A liiiiittle bit. You know sometimes when you wake up in the morning and your eyes are a little blurry? It's a little bit like that for him, in that one eye. It's a sort of side effect that happens to some zombies (sometimes even in both eyes, so Jeff got lucky!).

Sadly his body does not heal at all; the scar on his face likely wouldn't have been bad enough to leave such a lasting mark if not for his ...zombieness.

He doesn't actually rot, but he could be in huge trouble if he's not careful! Hopefully he'll avoid uh, losing pieces, for a while.

(Funnily enough, he *did* get that facial scar from a mutant!:P)

Maybe Jess has some involvement in Jeff's tragic demise... (you know must be her fault why her brother died...)

And that zombification thing is fascinating!

Hope you get well soon...

Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 10:49 AM edit delete reply
Hah! Would she really do that to her brother?!
Well, we'll see.;D

Thank you, and thank you!;D
Feeling a lot better today!

When the changes are slowly over time.. that could mean .. that what we see now may not be the end stage then, but that he keeps on changing? And probably not really to something nicer. D:
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 10:51 AM edit delete reply
Haha! Oh, dang, I didn't mean to make it sound so omnious.;D
He actually is done "changing", it was just the skin/hair/eyes. Of course he might still change in that he gets more unhealing scars and such! They happen slowly, but not /that/ slowly.;D
Miaubol 29th Jan 2015, 7:11 AM edit delete reply
I guess it's just my habit to think out the worst things possible ;)

Cool, he's stabilized, not going to slowly rot away :D He just has to be careful with injuries. ...hmmm, now I see bad things happen, again.. D:
Seabiscuit 29th Jan 2015, 10:54 AM edit delete reply
The way you worded that, and the stuff you say on the forums...I'm really worried for Alph, now.:D

Bad things will definitely happen if he doesn't take care around dem "cute cuddly" mutants!
Miaubol 30th Jan 2015, 11:28 AM edit delete reply
Oh yes, there's reason to worry. What would a comic have been if everything was nice and safe all the time... ;)

Cute cuddly mutants may have cute cuddly sharp teeth or claws D:

Poor, Jeff! The thought of him just slowly falling apart over time is very depressing :(
This page looks great despite you having been sick. I hope you start feeling better soon ;)
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 10:52 AM edit delete reply
Heh, it makes me sad, too. He'll be watching everyone else die over time.:(
At least he doesn't rot, but still.
Thank you!:D
demcleod 28th Jan 2015, 11:02 AM edit delete reply
Poor Jeff. He's the nicest character in this comic. Hard to believe anybody would want to kill him.

I hope you're feeling better, my friend. Being sick sucks. :-(
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 11:13 AM edit delete reply
Haha, he really is! Indeed, who in the world would want to kill /Jeff/?

Thank you!:D
I'm feeling better today!
Stever 28th Jan 2015, 2:45 PM edit delete reply
Benny just needs some processin'.

I've got to say, your technique for coloring/shading has gotten REALLY good. It's had to believe WA started as a (mostly) black and white comic :D
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 2:55 PM edit delete reply
Hahah, he needs more RAM...

Oh, thank you very much!:D
It seems like just yesterday I could just finish the lineart and call it a day.;D
Still, one of the best decisions I made was to color WA hahah. Given that all my future planned comics were to be colored, I'd have a pretty hard time if I hadn't gotten this practice in!
Skweeee 28th Jan 2015, 2:51 PM edit delete reply
So... is poor old Jeff slowly rotting? If so, does he reek of death? (stink?)
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 2:56 PM edit delete reply
Thankfully, no!:D
He doesn't actually rot, and he doesn't smell.
But he still doesn't heal, so he'll probably acquire many more scars like the one on his face, if he's not too careful!
undeadloaf 28th Jan 2015, 4:08 PM edit delete reply
well thats cool that he wasnt all mangled first . great way to show passage of time.

and sorry to see you sick but "jesus jeff" hmmmmm might have to draw this now
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 4:13 PM edit delete reply
Heheh, thanks, I sure hoped it would!:D

HAH! In fact, on another mirror, someone referred to him as "Jeffus" and I just lost it.
Lt. Dom 28th Jan 2015, 4:51 PM edit delete reply

Ew. Working on drawing while sick is the worst. I had a feeling that Jeff had gone through some pretty rough shit. But I suppose they all have huh?
Seabiscuit 28th Jan 2015, 4:59 PM edit delete reply
Yes, yes it is!

Oh yes. Jeff has definitely seen some shit, but they all probably indeed have in one way or another. The wastelands are definitely not a wonderland of rainbows and kittens!

Thats so cool! Gotta love jeff.

I have a ton of questions! Maybe some of the questions will be answered in the next page. Also, love how you do the shading and colors :D

Heheh. Well, perhaps, perhaps...

Thank you!:D

What kind of monster kills someone and doesn't even rob them or defile the body?
Seabiscuit 29th Jan 2015, 9:24 PM edit delete reply
Hahah, I guess, a ...sort of polite murderer? Huh.
