And we're back! I wonder what this is that she picked up...
(I realize now I made a sad mistake in the colors of this object and her phone- It is *not* her phone she has there, but rather the thing that hits the back wall in the second panel.)
I do so love visiting my grandma. She is, however, a compulsive feeder. Majorly! And mostly for junk food. It bothers her quite a bit that I don't snack a lot or keep much junk around. She also thinks I'm too thin.
So whenever I visit and take her shopping, she insists on getting me such. And you can't say 'no' to my grandma- Even at almost 97 years old, she can be hella stubborn! She will stand in the candy aisle and refuse to move until I've picked out a sufficient amount of goodies. It's really pretty funny, and so, this is my latest haul. I'd think I was set for several months, but grandma would disagree!
She figured out some unpleasant truth in the second last panel (?)
Yes, I first thought she was checking her phone... ;)
Daaaaaw there are kitties :D
Yes, that haul is enough for several months, or weeks at least. I know I can eat a whole lot of this stuff within just a short period of time, but then it's enough for a good, good while.
Things that go boom are usually not good.
Dang, you got a sweet haul of junk food. Old people can be stubborn, but hey they can get away with a lot since they've already been through a lot.
I remember eating lots of Mexican sweet bread when I was younger. I was skinner back then. Now, not so much :)
I dunno. The girl is hella suspicious. Obviously not thinking she caused the whole apocalypse LMAO but what is she hiding?
Pretty awkward reactions given the situation. Hm.
So I guess it really is a look back at the normal world. Looking forward to what actually happened :O
I approve of your haul AND grandma approving ;)
Really good to see she is doing so well. Sometimes age is just a number.
I didn't even notice the image in the news post until I saw Madjak.
Basically, I came up with a name for getting hauls like that one (before I even considered calling them hauls) with very little restraint or consideration for my physical form. Usually a bit bigger. I call it greed shopping because I used to frequently buy an excessive amount of junk food and candy that I probably never even needed, and I still do it a bit now. Only difference is that currently I slow the frequency down with my Recession Points System, making me binge on candy way less often.
Can't imagine doing it with non-NZ confectioneries though.
Oh man, I'm digging this new story arc. Am I to assume this will show us the "pre-apocalypse" era of the world? If so! I'm stoked! HECK... Even if it's not, I'm still stoked! STOKED X1000.
Now I have the goldfish jingle stuck in my head...
Thanks.
Oooo! More mystery!
Goldfish have to be my most favoritest snack. I've actually never seen a commercial, though!
Junk food galore! XD
Yup! Here come the cavities D:
But what is the mysterious object she picks up?
I wonder~
Apocalypse is on? o.O

Yup! Of course my kitties are never far away ;) I'm all set~

Haha, true- We let her get away with it. It makes her happy to spoil the family, hahah.
(Ah, sounds delicious!)
I hope you enjoy eating those cats you got in your junkfood haul.
Hahhahaha! The cats won't be eaten ;)

Thank you, I'm glad you look forward to it~
She really is doing well considering her age! She always comes with for the grocery shopping instead of leaving it to me, and she moves fast.
@Edward: Greed shopping? Ah, just buying a buncha junkfood? Sounds like a good plan for Halloween :D

@Jak ;~~~; You should get some delicious candies off amazon~
And the really weird licorice combinations that some apparently haven't heard of.
Whoa! That is a lot of snacks. Please don't eat those kitties. D:
Hahaha. The kitties are perfectly safe! If anything, they want to help me with the snacks.;)
Ahhh, I see war is possibly beginning now, Lakebiscuit...
-snerk- Hahaha, Lakebiscuit~ That kitty~ :D
This page is pretty. I like the coloring! :-)
Aw, thank you very much! :D
Excellent. I feel accomplished~
