Why do I not believe her? Benny will not rest until he gets some answers; sounds like my tenacity!

("But I WANNA be magic.....") XD

Why stop now, when he's soooo close!

(Hahaha, I'm sure that'd be Jeff's reply!)

I'm thinking someone maybe wants to perform some tests maybe? See what's all going on about a certain green-haired, hoodie wearing guy.

Science, because there's a perfectly logical explanation for everything.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." -Arthur C. Clarke

An overused quote, but totally relevant.
Seabiscuit 18th Jul 2017, 8:19 PM edit delete reply
Eyyy! Very wise words indeed, definitely relevant. It's fun imagining how folks from like, the 1800s would react if they could see all we can do now...

I grew up reading old books, written between 1840 and 1940, more or less. The impression I have of a wizard is a very studious man, huge library, some equipment, lives alone or with a junior assistant. Basically, he's indistinguishable from what a rather obsessed scientist would be like if he was relatively isolated from other scientists, and magic seems to just be an old word for science. It's sometimes hard to understand this statement, "There's no such thing as magic." :) You can see the same general perspective in Narnia, when Azlan says something about the frost witch not fully understanding the deep magics. Although... I don't think anyone else in Narnia could see it this way.

You know, you want to go back further than the 1800s to get really fun reactions to technology. They loved it in the 17th century already. :)

Ah! I need to read more old timey books. They really are something else. A very interesting something else, haha.:D
Miaubol 18th Jul 2017, 12:53 PM edit delete reply
Yep, there's no magic, just physics we don't understand ;)

I'm really curious about that walker tech now :D
Seabiscuit 18th Jul 2017, 8:20 PM edit delete reply
Might as well be magic- Hah.:D

Science only goes as far as we are capable of describing the reality using mathematical or other models but that is what they are, models.
I do not think it is magic but no idea otherwise. Ben is a Newtype :O
Seabiscuit 18th Jul 2017, 8:21 PM edit delete reply
That's a cool way of saying it, yeah~
Haha, I had to google Newtype~
