I'm home!~

I don't know when I'll be going back to the Grandmalands, but, gosh, what a journey.

First off, in my third day or so there, we started getting weird calls from a Virginia area code, all different ones. One was a text-to-landline message (which apparently exists), something about "having the equipment" and to "give them a call".

One caller finally was there and nice enough to let us know that, apparently, someone on Craigslist put up a work wanted ad for someone to paint her walls. And she had listed my grandmas phone number. This caller noticed that the area code listed wasn't Virginia at all, but Illinois. How do you get your own phone number that wrong? Haha. We continued to get calls for the next few days, meanwhile, the original poster was probably wondering why no one wanted to paint her walls.

And then on my last day there, I had to call 911 when my grandma fell... She's fine, all is fine, and it turned out to be a piece of loose carpet that was the culprit; On the plus side, grandma is now willing to part with her almost 50 year old carpeting. But, gosh, it was my first time calling 911, very scary.

Anywho! In the meanwhilest, I got more fanart from Deadly Death Sickle! :D

Gosh, anyone else remember this ANCIENT scene?? Hard to believe it was so long ago. It even feels long, I can't say 'feels like yesterday'. Anyways! Deadly gave it a more BADASS touch and now Felix has some aweeeesome upgraded weapons! Oh man, deadly AND badass! Way better than the regular scythes ;)

(Deadly's comic is The Ninth Soul~)

Wow, that's some story snd I hope your grandma's doing better.

I don't know why, but somehow Benjamin opening up to Eva his story seems like a natural thing to do

Haha, thanks. It sure made the experience... Uh. Interesting?...

It does. If he had told her sooner... Well, this would have been a much more different comic.

Hehe! Probably just from Benny boy's end, from now.:D

(Thank you! She is.:D)

Eva doesn't look surprised. Like, at all.

She knew.
Seabiscuit 17th Mar 2018, 9:16 PM edit delete reply
Haha, it does seem like a rather unusual reaction to this kinda news, even for Eva, huh? Hm.

AND she was the one who sent them on the quest that found the first robot, and was weirdly disappointed that they didn't find the whole robot...

Nice way of breaking it down for her Benny.

Man, what a scary thing to go through. With elderly in our family, I'm always so scared they're going to fall and hurt themselves worse.
Seabiscuit 17th Mar 2018, 9:17 PM edit delete reply
I know, right?

My grandmas fallen so many times, and it's so scary because she's 98. I'm just glad she hasn't like, cracked her head open yet...
Stever 18th Mar 2018, 12:23 PM edit delete reply
Wow! 98. That's really awesome though.

My grandfather is the same with regards to his house. He refuses to get the air conditioning unit changed out even though it’s 40 years old.
Seabiscuit 17th Mar 2018, 9:27 PM edit delete reply
Omg, yes, I know that too well, hahaha. My grandmas unwilling to change even the smallest thing. Though it's never been a problem, till now... But she's seeing now she needs to have it changed.

Eva not being too surprised by all she hears here seems a bit eye raising.
Seabiscuit 17th Mar 2018, 9:28 PM edit delete reply
Yeah- Eva isn't seeming quite herself, here...
ChilPhil 16th Mar 2018, 10:29 AM edit delete reply
I vote for not ending the world with the giant bomb.

Yikes, yeah calling 911 would be stressful. Glad to hear grandma is okay.
Seabiscuit 17th Mar 2018, 9:28 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, let's hope that vote goes through.;)

It was. I could hardly understand what the operator was saying.:(
MadJak91 16th Mar 2018, 1:20 PM edit delete reply
"You did not tell Anne."
Excuse me!? You did not tell Ben JACK SHIT!!

But yeah. I wish Eva would finally cut the crap. It has been too long. I guess this is the favorable outcome to her. She said nil and Ben says everything. Nah, but this is like eavesdropping on conversations in McD. People like to talk. lmao
Eh, I think she still knows more and now learns more but whatevs. Ben's choice.

But hey. Maybe it is not all bad. Maybe he should have told her from the start. But the timing still does not add up. Hm.
Seabiscuit 18th Mar 2018, 9:27 PM edit delete reply
Haha, true, it's a bit funny when Eva tries to get Benny boy to talk when she... Does the opposite.:D

It has been too long, but, we are closer....
"Eavesdropping in McD"... LMAO!

Maybe Eva is the bomb?!
Seabiscuit 18th Mar 2018, 9:27 PM edit delete reply
Haha! Imagine that as a twist. Or like, "No, Benjamin, you are the bombs"
Hindbodes 16th Mar 2018, 11:02 PM edit delete reply
Very down-to-Earth dialogue.
Seabiscuit 18th Mar 2018, 9:28 PM edit delete reply
Awe, thank you!:)
Miaubol 17th Mar 2018, 3:59 PM edit delete reply
"fucking weird" indeed D:

Eva "blabs" like too much and not enough at the same time, she says A and then she always refuses to say B ;)

"loose carpet"-
scary what such "small" things can cause, glad your grandma is doing fine.
Seabiscuit 18th Mar 2018, 9:29 PM edit delete reply
True; Not sure how much he reeeeally expects Eva to "blab", given her track record...

Sheesh, I know, right? It could have been so much worse, all over a piece of carpet. Not just that, but underneath that loose carpet piece is a hole in the floor. She's avoiding that area for now until it's replaced, but yikes. Thanks!:)
AugustaCaesar 30th Mar 2018, 11:43 PM edit delete reply
Yup, that's the way to deliver the news: just blurt-out you can see into other dimensions. Way too go, Benny-boy. You make me look NOT awkward! XD

He sure is smooth indeed...
