Drawing someone taking their shirt off is hard, y'all. Haha, imagine if THIS was the page that went out April 1st.:D

So, we're back! Again!!
Hopefully that'll be my last extended stay with my grandma- Knock on wood fingers crossed etc. She's doing much better; All her physical therapists and the like that come by could never believe she was 98, haha.:D

I also had a birthday the day I came home. Ick. I'm 28 now. It's funny- I started this comic when I was 23. Wow! And I finally reached this moment. Heee.:D
I think at least a few folks saw this coming by now; dear Argyle was the first one to call it, back in 2015. (Yup yup Fartgyle, I remember!)

Look at that smug ass smirk. What a perfect timing it was for this page, too, holy SHIT, Vince, you psychic monster you must be stopped. I love it. Omg. It's SO EVA and that eye color is perfect~~~ It gets better the more I look at it!! Hah!

And so Eva is revealed as the evil mastermind behind everything!

Of course...who is really surprised here?
Seabiscuit 20th Apr 2018, 11:44 AM edit delete reply
Hahaha, I'm sure even people who didn't totally figure it out before would think yeah, that makes sense.;)

Silly argyle, calling Eva the red plague doctor. How could it be little innocent her?!

Seabiscuit 20th Apr 2018, 1:46 PM edit delete reply
I remember you guessing it and I just had the biggest evil grin on my face
argylefox 20th Apr 2018, 8:15 PM edit delete reply
Towards the end, it was the only character that made sense.

Rapport would also be acceptable

Heh heh. Nice! I especially love the panel layout at the top of the page.

Go Eva!
Seabiscuit 20th Apr 2018, 1:49 PM edit delete reply
Aw thanks! Yeah, I had a lot of fun putting those together.>:)
ChilPhil 20th Apr 2018, 1:02 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, it's just Eva saving the world again. (I say that like I knew it all along, uh-hu.)

Happy belated birthday!

When you talked about how hard it was drawing taking off your shirt, I started talking my shirt off a few times normally. Then I tried crossing my arms like Eva, cuz I hit my forehead when I do it that way. The only witness I had with my experiment was my dog, who probably wondered what I was up to.
Seabiscuit 20th Apr 2018, 1:50 PM edit delete reply
Thank you!

HAHAH! I wonder what dogs think of our weird antics...
it's funny how the most basic actions become the most complicated thing ever when you have to get to really thinking about them to draw them... There's probably more natural ways to take a shirt off than what I went with, but I couldn't even think of how it looked!
The Accidental Ninja 20th Apr 2018, 2:02 PM edit delete reply
The Accidental Ninja
I wasn't expecting this but at the same time I'm not surprised in the least.
...but does that mean she was the one who killed Jeff and has known this whole time? ...Ouch. That's kinda harsh. (but then again, "harsh" is probably a good descriptor for Eva in general...)
Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:23 PM edit delete reply
Hahaha, the kinda reaction I expected from most folks, I think.:D
Harsh definitely fits...
MadJak91 20th Apr 2018, 2:10 PM edit delete reply
Mm. So it her then, after all!

Was she always he red doctor? I cannot remember when she was first sighted and if it were years before the story. My mind is really foggy on this but I think I remember Felix mentioned the red doctor when he was explaining his was still an apprentice? Or was that someone else? Maybe I am wrong altogether and fused a bunch of very old scenes.
Point is if she always was the red doctor and if it is possible Eva was somehow always there maybe waiting to meet her target. Not sure how to explain it, haha.
Her own flashback looked like she became the red doctor much later. Hm.

The ultimate Eva "prank" would be asking Ben to kill the others and deactivate the bomb OR she detonates it. They already have his opinion but I am not sure anyone has tested his resolve yet...
Would that make his visions self-fulfilling? It is a possible future but what you did not know is that it will of your own making :/
Not sure what she means by "saving the world" other than some effed up test unless to her it means getting rid of humans for good. Sure.
Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:38 PM edit delete reply
Hehe :D
Well- There are multiple Red Plague Doctors. But she's the only one to appear in this comic. She's been one for as long as it's mattered basically, but not like, since she was a kid or anything.

Haha, calling that a "prank" - Gosh.D: We'll sea what she really wants in a couple pages...
I think some folks have guessed, but it seems like it could go a couple different ways.
The things Benny boy sees aren't set in stone for his timeline or necessarily his own making by having seen them; They could happen, but they could be stopped.
MadJak91 22nd Apr 2018, 2:27 PM edit delete reply
Mm. It is a very extreme prank, haha.
I think that she might have her own vision of the whole mission and bomb thing.

If she is a troubled person then Ben is as well.
They both like to avoid talking about their problems.
They are both haunted by something crappy and their duty. Past for one, future for the other, I guess.
And so on.
But where Ben decided to trust people, Eva probably found issues and started having "fun".

They had a very good relationship because probably understood each other or at least she understood Ben enough. However, there are probably key differences in how to solve the main problem.
Seabiscuit 22nd Apr 2018, 5:45 PM edit delete reply
Oh for sure, Benny boy is also pretty troubled. I think everyone has their issues, but Eva and Ben most of all...
"Past for one, future for the other"... Haha, I really like that.:D

For sure they understood each other the most, but perhaps Benny boy didn't understand her well enough.>:

gosh dangit eva

i mean i kind of knew eva was fishy

but i still didn't *want* to think that my favorite character was a bad guy

unless she's defusing the bomb or something

Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
Well, we'll see what she really wants soon enough!
Still. Eva is a troubled girl.

Chippewa Ghost
"...and I'll need your innards to do it!"

That's cold, Eva. I'm sure they would have come to your garden party if invited. Kidnapping them is real cold.
Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:41 PM edit delete reply
Bwahaha! I wonder how far she'd go...

I wonder if they really would have come if they knew what she wanted.
sigpig 20th Apr 2018, 7:26 PM edit delete reply
Called it last update...
Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
Hehehehee, yuppppp. I wasn't too subtle, I think.:D
AugustaCaesar 21st Apr 2018, 12:35 AM edit delete reply
Really didn't want to guess that was her, especially after the little chat with Benjamin, but yeah, I kinda suspected. Let's see "saving" happening...
Seabiscuit 21st Apr 2018, 9:43 PM edit delete reply
Yeah- I think that's the case with a few people. Eva is no pure innocent muffin, haha.D:
Miaubol 22nd Apr 2018, 3:34 PM edit delete reply

Yes, I sort of half-feared this. That was the reason why I didn't mention her when listing those who could possibly save the day two pages ago ;)

"saving the world"-
as in finishing Ben off? D:
or, as the benevolent world-exploder?? DDD:

Nice to hear your grandma is doing better again :))
and, belated happy birthday :D
Seabiscuit 22nd Apr 2018, 5:46 PM edit delete reply
Mwehehehehe.:D :D

Killing Ben, or... Hm. Well, we'll find out soon.>:D

Thank you very much~~ :D
xwindows 26th Apr 2018, 12:40 AM edit delete reply
Considering the situation, I find this "Saving the world" really ambiguous, it could either mean:

A: Defuse the bomb, saving everyone from the threat of explosion, or...
B: Trigger the bomb, saving everyone from the misery of living in wasteland.

Choose A for sane Eva (may also lead to everyone asking "Why didn't you just ask?" in the end), or B for mad Eva (like Ben and Felix already assumed).
